Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role

  • Responsible for selling the company’s products and increasing contracts/large volume sales to;

- Fleet owners
- Leasing companies
- Fleet maintenance companies 
- Garages

  • Motor factor and wholes sale buying groups
  • Maintaining and further expanding the customer base
  • Managing large accounts
  • Reaching and exceeding targets/goals
  • Servicing the needs of your existing customers
  • Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
  • Contributing to and carrying out sales strategies
  • Collecting customer feedback and market research
  • Keeping up to date with products and competitors
  • Complete daily business logs for customers visited and business obtained
  • Provide management reporting to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness
  • Attending to customer complaints, ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained
  • Attend conferences, trade fairs and exhibitions


Knowledge, Skills & Experience (work experience, qualifications, specialist training, key skills, disposition)

  Requirements Essential/Desirable
Qualifications Degree and/or professional qualification within relevant area [D] All Essential unless indicated by ‘D’ which is Desirable
Experience  5 Years’ experience (minimum) in similar auto parts sales   management positions All Essential unless indicated by ‘D’ which is Desirable
Communications, Knowledge, skills & abilities  

Constantly strives to deliver a world class customer experience

Demonstrates detailed knowledge of parts for Japanese trucks, 4x4’s and Pickups.

Must be a self-starter, well organised, able to work independently and deal with unforeseen problems and circumstances

Proven planning, communication, interpersonal and organising skills.

Detailed knowledge of current developments and technology within the auto parts industry

Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills, seeking cost effective solutions

Excellent sales and negotiation skills

Good business sense

Have excellent written and spoken communication skills at all levels

Highly organised, detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy

Ability to multitask, meet changing deadlines and work calmly under pressure

Professional and punctual 

 Attitude & disposition  A commitment to continually improve customer experience and drive/increase sales  
 Other circumstances  

The role is mainly road-based (one day a week reporting in the London office) You may also need to attend conferences, trade fairs and exhibitions.

Working time is 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Willingness to travel where required

 Ability to work flexibly as necessary
