DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE LOAD PLUS & THE EQUALIZER
LOAD PLUS/LOAD HOG Load plus is connected at both end of the leaf pack with u-bolts this: -traps the spring which results in up to 20% loss of articulation/travel. - makes the load plus only comfortable when weight is applied, and very uncomfortable when weight is unloaded. - results in no minimum or maximum wind recommendations or markings. -means the load plus can be overtightened by customer to cause main pack overstress and breakage. -means decreasing the load can cause load plus to be ineffective and also cause main pack to break. - means the stress on the load plus will cause the u-bolts to break, which can dislodge from the vehicle and cause serious damage or injury to other vehicles and pedestrians. |
THE EQUALIZER Equalizer is secured to the leaf pack via a roller swing shackle meaning: - the spring is not trapped and is able to articulate freely. -the equalizer is comfortable empty or fully loaded.as the roller swing shackle acts as a shock absorber. - the swing shackles is pre-loaded to greatly reduce body roll. - two adjustment settings eliminate customer tampering or overstressing of the leaf pack. - two adjustment settings cater to all needs: lower hole for light to medium loads and upper hole for heavy loads. - even if the system is drastically over stressed, breakage of the equalizer will result in all parts being safely secured to the vehicle. ensuring no other vehicles or pedestrians are injured.

The roller swing shackle ensures comfort regardless of load as the spring is unrestricted and able to articulate through it's full range of motions.
Two easy adjustable pre-load settings ensure the equalizer operates at optimal performance, regardless of settings, with no possibility of over stressing or under stressing the system.
The lower setting for light to medium loads.
The upper setting for heavy /constant loads.
